We Usually Have To Wait For What We Want, Here's The Easiest Way To Get Through It

Many of us have made the choice to no longer settle for mediocrity in our lives. This is fantastic and applause to all who have done this. The difficulty arises here in the undesirable fact that there is almost always going to be a time delay between when an action is taken and when the results of that action appear in our lives.

Our present life is the sum total of past thoughts and actions. How we are today is actually not us at all, it is who we were 6 months ago or years ago possibly. For example, our current financial state the result of decisions made some time ago, possibly years.

The way to overcome these time delays is to understand them. Most people fail because they have unrealistic expectations on the time involved. The goal is completely achievable, what is not realistic is the time we want to achieve it in. So what happens is the majority become impatient, decide it’s not working and back to old habits they go. This is a mistake.

We must lose the instant gratification mentality that society has adopted, if we are to succeed. Begin thinking in terms of months and years, not days and weeks. Sadly there is no silver bullet solution to this situation, only good solid planning. Strive to take action everyday. If we do this, it is like a drip falling into a bucket. It may take some time for the bucket to fill up, but once it does, every drip will then overflow. If we know this and we have taken action everyday, once we do start to see results, we know the bucket will be overflowing for sometime to come. Sadly we can fill most of the bucket with our efforts, but if we stop before it overflows, well, we will never reap the reward of our work, nor will we ever know just how close we might have been.

There just simply is no substitute for patience, none. If we do not have it, we will fail, simple as that. The very best thing we can do is stay busy and focus each day on what it is that we can do. If we act in the areas we have the ability to act, then this is the only way to speed things up. There are no short cuts. Make the most of the present, enjoy what you have, as this is the fastest way to achieve more.

Waiting is not fun but it is necessary, don’t waste your time looking for ways to avoid what is unavoidable as this will only slow you down. Focus on what you can do and reap the rewards.

No wonder patience is disappearing!  Not rated yet
We live in such an instant world: push a button and enjoy TV, close the car window to keep out the rain, pick up supper from the deli. No more make time ...

Waiting for what we want  Not rated yet
This stands to reason but is good to hear it again and reinforce what you already know deep down.
