There is a famous saying: "you can please all of the people, some of the time; or, some of the people all of the time; but, if you please all of the people all of the time, you are setting yourself up for failure". You should not give up hope. If you don't like the Results of your present life, Change your THOUGHTS and you change your life. Have you ever heard of "Insanity is doing the samething over and over again and expecting a different result?" Not possible, isn't it to expect a different result?
